Shops cut cabinets, counters and desks from flat 4×8 sheets on a CNC router. Before the machine runs, a programmer nests every part onto as few sheets as possible. That's your job here: match the shop computer's yield, so as little of each sheet as possible ends up as scrap.

That's real work. Somebody programs the machine, somebody runs it, somebody builds the piece, and somebody installs it in a lobby, a kitchen or an office you'll walk through one day. Every one of those is a job. The person who nests real jobs like these is called a CNC programmer.

Every piece starts as a list of flat parts. Tap a part to take it off. Some parts are in the way of others, so work out what comes off first.
